Good fast-paced fantasy read about a family of fae sisters, each having a different strength. Enjoyed the illustrations pertaining to each sister at the beginnings of the chapters. Story set in St. Augustine modern day but with a little bit of a history element. Ready to see what happens to the sisters next. -Cassandra Fleming
Cozy, unique, and spellbinding, this fun fae urban fantasy set in St. Augustine caught my attention at my local bookstore right away. I'm a sucker for anything set in Florida, and Chrissy's novel absolutely oozed charm. I quickly fell in love with all three sisters, all of which have their own unique appearance, personality, and backstory.
The sweet coziness of Cricket running an antique shop in the oldest city in the US and being able to time travel through objects is balanced with growing tension and a detailed plot that grows larger and continues to unfurl as you read. I loved the pirate lore and witchy feel of this book (even though they're fae, not witches). Lots of magical realism combined with extraordinary descriptions of the fae world at the end of the book. I love how much detail the author pours into every scene.
There's no cliffhanger, but there's a good setup for book 2, which makes me eager to read more!
